help please.
after drying my tears over the death of heath ledger, i sat down to study for the aepa. I was doing great until I hit the social studies section. holy cow- which one of my professors was supposed to teach me about Confucianism? Byzantine Empire? Hellooo. I think I only got one or two questions right in that whole section.

There are two parts to the AEPA, the general part and the one geared toward your emphasis. The general part is so easy. All it is is common sense. I am not sure what emphasis part you are taking but my sisters both took the elementary part and they said that was easy also. I would study the prep books and not worry about it. I am sure you will do fine.
if you have any specific questions dealing with social studies i would be happy to help. i have never taken that test though so i don't know if it is easy or not

I've never taken the one for Elementary Ed. It should be easier than the one I took, which was easy. Good luck! Also, the practices make it look harder than it is.
I'm a little confused and it may be the fact that I can't believe that Heath Ledger is really dead, but I also don't recall the AEPA being "easy". I'm sure it depends on your definition. I really thought it was eight hours of ______ (fill in the blank). It's not that it was really hard, per se. It's just that it was eight hours of answering questions that there really is no way to study for. The practice test is similar to what it will be like, which means, really random questions about really random stuff. But, if you use your test-taking strategies, you should be able to pick out the common sense answers. After saying that, probably the best advice is not to stress and sleep the night before. Do the essays first. Btw, Confucius lived in the 500's BC in China and thought that everyone could be good if they would choose to be. Strangely, the 6th grade social studies book had that in it, I'm not sure why that should be stored in my brain.
